Memcached in Shared Hosting
When you host script-driven sites in a shared hosting account with our company, you can add the Memcached data caching system to your shared hosting package with just a few clicks of the mouse through your Hepsia Control Panel. The upgrade will be available immediately and, since the needed PHP extension is already installed on our cutting-edge cloud platform, you can start using it right away. To give you more versatility, we offer two different upgrades related to the number of instances (i.e. how many websites will use Memcached) and to the amount of memory that Memcached will use. The latter is available in increments of 16 MB and you can add memory whenever you wish. Logically, the more memory the Memcached caching system is allowed to use, the more data it will cache, so if you run a resource-intensive site with a lot of data, you may require more memory so as to be able to make full use of the power that Memcached can give you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you obtain any of our semi-dedicated server packages, you’ll find Memcached as an optional upgrade in the Upgrades section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, so if you want to use it for any of the sites hosted in your semi-dedicated account, you can activate it with only a few clicks of the mouse. The distributed memory object caching platform is suitable for any script-based web application like WordPress, Joomla™, or even an in-house made app, and depending on your necessities, you’ll be able to select two separate features – how many Internet sites will use the Memcached platform, i.e. the number of instances; and how much info will be stored, i.e. the amount of system memory that the platform will employ. The two things are not bound to each other, so if you manage a popular site with a lot of content, you can get one instance and a larger amount of memory. The Memcached platform will improve the overall performance of your websites soon after you enable it and both you and your website visitors will enjoy better load times.
Memcached in VPS
Memcached is available as standard with all Linux VPS packages that are ordered with our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The extension it requires in order to perform properly is compiled when the server is configured, so you can begin using the distributed memory caching platform once your brand-new server is completely functional. The memory that the Memcached platform can use depends on the particular plan, but even with the low-end plans, you will get several hundred megabytes that will be at your disposal only for this platform. This will allow you to accelerate the performance of multiple sites hosted on the VPS server at the same time and to lower the load on the machine even if you have content-rich script-based web pages with numerous visitors. Memcached can be used with any script – Mambo, Joomla™ or Drupal™, or a custom-built script, and you will notice the faster overall performance soon after you start using it.
Memcached in Dedicated Hosting
Any dedicated server ordered with our Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with Memcached already installed by default, so you can begin using this object caching system once the server is fully operational, without needing to upgrade or install anything. The amount of memory that Memcached can employ depends on the server that you’ve chosen, but as our servers are astonishingly powerful and due to the fact that it is likely that you will host resource-demanding sites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the caching system can use is three gigabytes. This will allow you to accelerate the performance of extremely large sites without effort and you’ll notice the difference soon after Memcached starts caching database calls. You can take full advantage of the system with any database-driven website, including those that are based on widely used CMSs such as WordPress and Joomla™.
